As announced earlier, the web interface for making your date sheet is being placed on the following link: http://datesheet.vu.edu.pk/

Note: You MUST make your date sheet on or before:  Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Seats will be available on a 'first come first served' basis.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Logon using your VULMS ID and Password (In case of any password related problem contact at password@vu.edu.pk)

2.  Choose Your Exam City in which you want to appear for Exam (optional)

3.  Choose your Exam Center out of the centers available to you(Once selected, you can not change your Exam Center)

4.  Select available exam date and start time of your own choice for each of your courses, then click “Confirm” button to confirm your selection.

5.  Repeat the Step-4 for all your remaining courses one by one.

6.  Finally click the button at the bottom of the page to get Examination Password and print your Examination Slip which you MUST keep with you for entry in Examination Center on each of the Exam Dates

Following is the schedule for fee submission for the month of November, 2010: Voucher Generation Date:                     November 02, 2010  Last date for Fee Deposit:                     November 16, 2010  Blocking of Students’ Accounts:            November 22, 2010 (However, students can deposit their fee with fine till November 25, 2010).  Invoice Generation Date for PVCs:       November 26, 2010

Easy way to FIND out assignment's solutions on VUsolutions

So, so just see "Course code wise categories", this tab/section is available on right side of website's page (below the Chat Box).

In "Course code wise categories" you just find out your code and click on code name. For example for CS-101 or other CS courses click "CS and IT", for Mgt101, Mgt201, Mgt502 or other Mgt related codes please click on "Mgt" tab, for Accounting related subjects, click "Acc" tab, for English related subject "Eng" tab, for Marketing related courses click on "Mkt" tab, for Finance related courses click "Fin" tab, for HRM related courses click "HRM" tab, Mathmatics related subjects click "Mth" tab and so on....

How to attempt Online Quizzes - VUsolutions-7 Guidelines

Dear students,

You all are requested; please check your online quizzes, assignments, GDBs scheduled dates, in TO DO LIST that there is date and time mentioned for Each Quiz of Particular subject. When the time will come, you will see the button for action on respective portion of quiz, assignment & GDB, by clicking that button you will see a popup window. NOW, you can start your quiz by clicking on start button.

You are requested to follow the below mentioned VUsolutions-7 guidelines about Online Quiz:

1. There will be at least one day given for solving each Quiz,

2. There will be 10 to 20 MCQs in each Quiz,

3.  Each MCQ will have 1 mark,

4. You will be given 90 sec to select the correct option and submitting for next MCQ and REMEMBER that you must have to select and submit the correct option, otherwise you will loose marks in case of timeout.

5. The best way to attempt a Quiz is to attempt that in one Go, Don't do it in parts, otherwise you will loose some question. But if there is an power breakdown during the Quiz then you can continue your quiz after restoration of power. But You have to complete the quiz before the 11:59 pm on last date of Quiz.

6. Before attempting your Quiz, you can practice with Past Quizzes (Solved MCQs) provided at VUsolutions. OR you may visit DocStoc.com & in search box write "vusolutions" or "vusolutions guru" you got lot of solved online quizzes, assignments and past papers.

7. Try to save (copy paste) your Quiz on MS Word file and send it to the virtual.uni.help@gmail.com for the benefit of other students.

What is MDB & GDB?? Carries Marks??

Dear students,

We are still receiving many email from 1st semester students regarding GDB & MDB.

It is to informed you that in your Graded Discussion Board (GDB) VU will announce a topic & you have required to give the answer of that topic/question within due time (2-4 days from announcement). After due date VU announce result and give you marks, these marks included in your CGPA in the end of that course.

On the other hand, Moderated Discussion Board (MDB) is the environment in which you'll ask the questions (in which you are facing problem to understand) to your instructor and after some time your instructor give you answer of that question. Its just a discussion board for all of you and has NO MARKS. In this board you are encourage to ask maximum Questions in which confused.
